Hi, this is my blog I am starting for use as a journal for one of my graduate education courses, a course in teacher research I started today. I chose the handle "subversivecompliance" not because I am subversively complying to the journal requirement, but that I am alluding to my personal doctrine of subversively complying to certain legally mandated portions of my job as a public school teacher. I don't believe that SGOs are even remotely valid measures of any teacher, and even though I am fortunate to fall on the "good side" of those figures, I feel morally compelled to at least speak up about their unfairness. Same with No Child Left Untested and Race To The Bottom yearly testing mandates. I'd bore you with it in words but maybe it will save time to just drop a link here.
